桑巴亚北京协巴西驻华大使馆特别邀请巴西的桑巴亚北京协巴西大使馆特别邀请巴西的顶级打击乐大师乔治•阿拉比（J orge Alabê ）和知名的舞者汉娜塔•赛克（Renata Secco），于2007年10月15日-10月27日在大山子艺术区798内的南门空间，献上桑巴音乐和舞蹈工作坊。为期两周的工作坊将带领你体验火热的里约热内卢桑巴打击乐和舞蹈。

乔治•阿拉比（Jorge Alabê）
来自巴西里约热内卢。他是国际知名的打击乐大师与教育家，在巴西传统打击乐界有非常高的声望。指导过许多巴西和美国桑巴鼓队。乔治曾任著名的巴西Oba Oba的打击乐指导，参于南美﹑北美﹑亚洲和欧洲各地巡回演出。

The Musicians 音乐家介绍

Shubha Sankaran is the only woman actively performing the surbahar on the global concert circuit, and the only artist focusing exclusively on that instrument. She studied instrumental music with Ustad Imrat Khan, vocal music in the khayal style with the late Pandit Shrikant Bakre, the South Indian technique of tanam with Kalaimamani Ranganayaki Rajagopalan, and dhrupad with the Gundecha Brothers. In 1994, 2000, and 2006, she was recognized for her surbahar performance by the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts. She composed the music for the award-winning NPR radio series "Passages to India," and the award-winning 1997 BBC documentary, "Monsoon" (available on CD); she has also been featured on NPR's "All Things Considered." She currently has two CDs released on Surbahar Records.

Brian Q. Silver, after graduating from Harvard College in 1964, stayed in India from 1964 through 1966 under two Fulbright grants in order to learn sitar with the late Ustad Ghulamhusain Khan of the Indore gharana. In 1988 he was awarded the honorary title Khan Sahib by the All Pakistan Music Conference, and was given that organization's 1989 gold medal for performance. In 1991, 1996, and again in 2004, he was recognized for his sitar performance by the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, and has taught Urdu language and literature, Indian music, and South Asian culture several universities, including the University of Chicago and Harvard. He is currently Ethnomusicologist and World Music Curator at the Voice of America in Washington, as well as founder and Executive Director of International Music Associates.

Brian Q. Frishzelle(先风) 简介

Frishzelle是一个以德国科隆为基地活动的音乐组织，成立于 2000年，致力于跨媒体即兴表演艺术的试验与创作。此次参与大声展的成员，包括两位发起人（电子音乐家 SvenHahne、长号手 Matthias Muche）和长期合作的艺术家、音乐家。他们组成 5人组合 Nanoschlaf （ Nano Sleep）和 2人组合 Earweego 。前者是以视频、乐器、电子的结合和实时处理，将即兴音乐传统和数字技术融合为一体的视听经验。 Earweego则是以电子方式，寻找声像艺术间最巧妙的相互作用，在即兴表演过程中，他们驾驭感性和理性，生成不可预知的声像景观。 7位成员都是跨界高手，活跃在不同的音乐、艺术领域，在学院背景、电子骇客、欧洲自由即兴、数字编程等等复杂背景下，这两个组合之间的更多组合、与中国音乐家的相遇，将使 " 未知" 和 " 即兴" 达到最大可能。除了参加大声展上海和北京的特别表演之外，他们还会在北京展开 3 天的工作坊，和本地同好一起分享改装电子设备和数字编程的乐趣。

Frishzelle(Early Winds), founded in 2000, is a Cologne, Germany-based musical organization devoting experiment and creation of multimedia improvisational performing art. It’s members taking part in Get It Louder2007 include the initiators Sven Hahne(electronic musician) and Matthias Muche(trombonist), and their long-term cooperative musicians and artists. They form into 2 groups- Nanoschlaf （ Nano Sleep, 5 members）and Earweego(2 members). Nanoschlaf consciously integrate audio visual elements, instruments, and electronics, combine improvisational musical traditions and digital techniques, exploring a new visual and aural experience. While Earweego is based on electronic methods, exploring the most ingenious interaction between sounds and images, to master the relationship between sensibility and sense. These 7 members, with diversified musical backgrounds, encounter with Chinese musicians to challenge the limit of “unheard” and “improve” . Besides attending the special events in Get It Louder 2007 in Shanghai and Beijing, they also hold a workshop lasting 3 days in Beijing, to share the joy of refitting electronic equipments and digital programming with the local interested participants.

Homeland of the famous fairytale author Hans Christian Andersen, Denmark has a long tradition of children's literature and theatre that meet children at an eye level, involves them and broadens their perspective on the world.

In the coming occasion of International Children’s Day, South Gate Space & Chaoyang Culture House (9 Theatre) present a series of exciting Denmark plays, arousing children to think and to feel diversified sensibilities. Children is becoming the host of theatre, both audience and participants, even critics, to give suggestions freely and naturally.

开启儿童戏剧之门

——丹麦戏剧

世界著名童话故事家安徒生的祖国丹麦是儿童文学和戏剧的摇篮， 这些文学戏剧开阔了儿童对世界的观察和看法。

国际儿童节来临之际，南门空间与朝阳区文化馆(9剧场)推出系列丹麦戏剧，鼓励孩子们思考问题、感受各种情感。在这里，儿童成为剧场的主人，他们既是观众又是参与者而且成为了评论家，可以自然地、无拘无束地发表建议。

孩子们和父母一起在一个虚构的世界里探索，在一个有趣的领域中感受世界和体验快乐。那时，孩子们的主动性、创造性、学习兴趣和探索欲望将全被激发出来。

桑巴亚·北京是一个立足于社区的音乐舞蹈学校，它通过巴西的传统音乐舞蹈来促进具有不同文化、经济、年龄背景的人们之间的沟通。学校向公众提供打击乐与舞蹈的课程，参与者无须具有音乐舞蹈的经验。大多数乐器由学校免费提供，参与者根据各自经济能力而捐助不同数额的学费。

桑巴亚·北京依照里约热内卢的社区桑巴学校的模式成立。注意到北京各社区之间的隔阂以及普通人参与文化艺术活动机会的匮乏，桑巴教师吉米·比亚拉与五声工作室确定了桑巴亚的主题，即"大同世界意识，共建文化桥梁"。五声工作室希望通过桑巴亚·北京传递一种文化团结的精神，促进参与者与社区的积极联系，发挥艺术作为自我表达手段的作用，从而提高生活的质量并培养一种认同感。

桑巴亚·北京在北京大山子艺术区的南门空间为10岁以上的青少年和成人提供培训。活动在平时的晚上和周末的白天进行，每周有多至50人参与，他们中的一部分将会在为弱势群体举办的活动中担当教师。

桑巴亚·北京让每个参与者有机会学习一种真正平等的人民音乐，因为在桑巴中每人都演奏一个不可缺少的部分，而各部分的总和是一种极具感染性的音乐。

桑巴亚·北京的成员已经在多个场合进行了室内和户外演出，包括大山子艺术节和迷笛音乐节。
SambAsia Beijing

SambAsia Beijing is a community-based music and dance ensemble. Our escola de samba or samba school blends together music and dance traditions from Brazil to bridge across cultural, economic and generational lines. Classes in Percussion and Dance are offered as month-long intensives with classes daily at South Gate Space in the Dashanzi Art District. All levels of participation are welcome and no prior experience is necessary. Most Instruments are provided free of charge, and participants donate a sliding-scale instruction fee based on ability to donate.

Escola de SambAsia is modeled after the samba school community ensembles of Rio de Janeiro. SambAsia's theme of One World Awareness, Building Cultural Bridges is a result of teacher Jimmy Biala and Pentatonic Workshop's observations of the separation that continues to exist between different communities in Beijing and the limited access to culture and art in different sectors of our city. We hope to convey a spirit of cultural togetherness while expressing the need for more communication and contact with each other as human beings, the acknowledgment of all possibilities.

PW will utilize SambAsia Beijing as an opportunity for the public to cultivate positive relationships within their community and exposure to the arts as a vehicle for self-expression; thus, resulting in meaningful relationships that improves quality of life and foster a sense of belonging.

SambAsia Beijing serves adult, children and youth participants from 10 years of age and up. Programs take place on weekday evenings and weekend days to train up to 50 participants per week on-site at South Gate Space in order to go on and serve as teachers to be placed in programs serving youth and children of disadvantaged communities.

SambAsia Beijing gives every participants an equal opportunity to learn a truly peoples' music, a music where everyone plays an integral part of which, the sum of the parts equals an infectious musical tradition.

Members of SambAsia Beijing have performed at many occasions, including the Dashanzi International Art Festival and Midi Music Festival.

重启自由即兴的快乐

陈皓伊（Audrey Chen）＋阿里桑德罗·波斯迪(Alessandro Bosetti）

嗓音、萨克斯、大提琴、电子音乐

一场 自由即兴、充满变幻的音乐现场 由美籍华裔音乐家和表演艺术家陈皓伊 以及意大利作曲家、萨克斯管演奏艺术家、同时也是声音艺术家 阿里桑德罗·波斯迪 共同带来。

陈皓伊运用大提琴、人声和电子合成乐器将传统层面叠加于延伸的即兴表演；阿里桑德罗·波斯迪将原始乐器语言结合广泛的表演手法和噪音技术并带有电子音乐的强烈影响；他们探究人类声音与合成的关系，在技术的极致之后用直觉爆发出戏剧的美。

12月1日，南门空间，跨越时空用直觉体验自由即兴的快乐。

A synthesis of improvised and composed live music by Chinese-American musician and performance artist Audrey Chen together with Italian composer, saxophonist and sound artist, Alessandro Bosetti.

Using cello, voice and analog electronics, Chen's largely improvised work focuses on the combination and layering of traditional and extended techniques. Alessandro Bosetti's explores the musicality of spoken words and unusual aspects of spoken communication, with field research and interviews often creating the basis for his abstract compositions. He has, as a saxophonist, developed an original instrumental language, influenced by electronic music.

Beautiful and abstract live music that captures a range of layered techniques.
